THE DESIGN OF GAS FIRED OVENS

The industrial gas fired ovens are usually made of steel construction with inner and outer shells made of steel panels. These shells are separated mineral wool insulation. The construction of the panels is to ensure that there in minimal metal-to-metal contact between the shells. This will ensure that there is a reduce heat flow form the inner chamber to the outer surface. These structures are rigid and self-supporting. They also have enough strength to support additional equipment. The gas-heated ovens are usually heated by one or more burners that are fired by gas. The burners are located in the combustion chamber, which is different from the work chamber. The typical ovens are designed in such a way to ensure that they achieve the operating temperature within sufficient time. There are some models that have electric heaters that are located at the entry and exit points of the oven. The recirculation air that is inside the oven is heated by the burners in the combustion chambers as well as the electric heaters located on the walls. The design of these ovens ensures that specifications of the heating operation are met.
There recirculation system of the gas fired ovens is also designed to meet certain specifications. Ovens that have about 25,000 CFM are provided with an air kit type recirculation fun that is complete with a belt drive, an airflow switch and keys. The recirculation fans are driven by motors that are mounted on bases that can be adjusted. The exhaust system is made up of general exhaust fans. These fans have about 1500 CFM each. The fans are also complete with belt drive, belt guard and airflow switch. The exhaust fans are driven by motors just like the recirculation fans. The supply and return plenums include nozzle that can be controlled to adjust the balance of the flow. The hot air that in the oven is delivered by the supply plenum that is located on the floor. This is the returned through the top opening into the combustion chamber. The gas fire ovens also have electrical controls that are incorporated into the system for easy control. They include a temperature controller and a control power selector switch. There is also the power supply and the fan interlock. The ovens are designed different depending on the manufacturer that you approach. However, you should choose manufacturers who are willing to design the ovens based on your specific industrial requirements. This way you will get gas fired ovens that are up to the task in your industry.
